Opportunity – Data Entry Officer at Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative

Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA), Founded in March 1999 by Hon. Justice Fati Lami Abubakar, Nigeria’s former First Lady. WRAPA has intervened and touched the lives of abused women in Nigeria. We are a leading voice in the advocacy and campaign against Violence against Women (VAW) in all its ramifications and as host and member of a 55 member Coalition, we have engaged in Parliamentary Advocacy and Public Education towards the enactment of the Violence Against Person Prohibition Law. We have designed and coordinated projects and advocacy for increased political participation of women in Nigeria.

In 2003 WRAPA was a leading voice in the protests following the marginalization of women in political party primaries and in the run up to the 2007 elections WRAPA was responsible for the coordination of activities aimed at enhancing the performance of women in politics in the six states of the North Central Zone and the FCT.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Entry Officer

Location: Utako, Abuja (with possible field/remote support as required)
Employment Type: Short-term Contract (6 months)

Role Summary 

  • The Data Clerk (MIS Support) will provide essential support to WRAPA Management Information System (MIS) by assisting with data entry, cleaning, validation, and basic documentation processes.
  • This role is critical to ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable data to support programme implementation, monitoring, reporting, and analysis across ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data entry, updating, and management of programme and project information into designated MIS platforms.
  • Perform the process of data cleaning, verification, and organization to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support timely collation of field and office-based data for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain proper electronic filing and documentation of datasets and related records.
  • Work closely with the MIS/MEAL and Programme teams to meet data deadlines.
  • Adhere to data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in data entry or MIS support is not compulsory but could be an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to work with common data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, online forms).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Applicants must have access to a functional laptop for the duration of the contract.
  • Commitment to WRAPA mission, values, and ethical standards.

Salary Range
N50,000 – N100,000 / Month.
