THE CHALLENGE

​We are looking for a visionary Strategic Communications Specialist to lead an external shift in how we tell our story. This is not a traditional communications role. We are looking for an expert who can translate complex strategy into compelling narratives, high-impact content, and powerful communication assets that shape perception and elevate visibility.

The mission is simple: Strategy → Story → Influence.

CORE DELIVERABLES

1. Strategic Narrative & Framework

  • ​Develop a comprehensive Positioning and Narrative Document.
  • ​Create a robust Messaging Framework (Messaging House) to ensure institutional consistency.

2. Flagship Content & Assets

  • ​Design and draft a Corporate Brochure (the flagship deliverable).
  • ​Develop high-stakes Donor & Partner Engagement Decks.
  • ​Produce program factsheets, briefs, and organizational profiles.

3. Thought Leadership & Digital Impact

  • ​Design a LinkedIn-led Social Media Strategy and a content calendar with sample assets.
  • ​Author 3–5 high-impact Thought Leadership articles (Op-eds, Blogs, LinkedIn features).

4. Web & Internal Enablement

  • ​Conduct a Website Content Audit and rewrite core pages (About, Impact, What We Do).
  • ​Develop a Communications Toolkit (templates and guidelines).
  • ​Facilitate an Internal Alignment Workshop to synchronize the team on the new narrative.

5. Strategic Roadmap

  • ​Deliver a 6–12 month Visibility and Engagement Plan to sustain influence across key platforms and audiences.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing.
    • ​A Postgraduate degree in a related field is an added advantage.
  • Experience: * 7–10 years of experience in strategic communications, brand positioning, or content strategy.
    • ​Proven track record in Global Health, Development, or Public Sector environments.
    • ​Demonstrated success in influencing high-level stakeholders, donors, and government institutions.
  • Technical Skills: * Exceptional storytelling and writing abilities.
    • ​Ability to translate complex technical concepts into persuasive, clear content.
    • ​Strong portfolio showcasing high-level corporate and engagement assets.
