POSITION OVERVIEW
Jhpiego is seeking qualified and detail-oriented Research Interviewers / Data Collectors to support the nationwide implementation of the C19RM Impact Evaluation. This study is critical to assessing the outcomes of health systems strengthening and the overall impact of C19RM investments in Nigeria.
The successful candidates will be responsible for gathering high-quality quantitative and qualitative data across health facilities and communities. You will act as the primary link between field realities and the data required to inform future global health policy and investment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Data Collection & Field Implementation
- Quantitative: Administer structured questionnaires using digital platforms (ODK, KoboToolbox) for health facility readiness assessments, provider interviews, and client exit interviews.
- Qualitative: Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with precision and neutrality.
- Household Engagement: Conduct community-based data collection where applicable, ensuring representative and accurate sampling.
2. Quality Assurance & Technical Operations
- Ensure 100% completeness, consistency, and accuracy of all records before submission.
- Participate in daily debriefs and data validation sessions with supervisors to troubleshoot field challenges.
- Synchronize and upload electronic data to central servers daily, ensuring technical integrity.
3. Ethics, Consent & Safeguarding
- Uphold the highest standards of research ethics, ensuring informed consent is obtained for every interaction.
- Maintain absolute respondent confidentiality and data privacy.
- Navigate diverse local contexts with cultural sensitivity and professional diplomacy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: * 1–2 years of experience in program coordination, implementation support, or communications for donor-funded health projects.
- Proven experience in survey data collection (Quantitative and/or Qualitative).
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in electronic data capture tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, etc.).
- Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to document field observations clearly.
- Core Competencies: * Ability to work under intense pressure and meet strict daily targets in complex environments.
- Strong facilitation and coordination skills.
- High level of integrity and professional discretion.
