Job Summary

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Data Enumerator will be responsible for the execution and integrity of field data collection activities, including:

  • Field Data Execution: Systematically capture data using prescribed digital methodologies, primarily utilizing the Kobo Collect mobile application and other related data capture tools.
  • Quality Assurance & Protocol Adherence: Rigorously follow all established data collection protocols, ethical guidelines, and survey instruments to maintain the highest standards of data integrity and consistency.
  • Reporting and Feedback: Promptly communicate any technical challenges, data discrepancies, or field obstacles encountered during enumeration to the supervisory team for immediate resolution.
  • Capacity Building: Actively participate in all mandatory training workshops, induction sessions, and team meetings to ensure a consistent understanding of evolving data tools and methodologies.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all participant information and collected data, adhering rigorously to professional and organizational ethical standards throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or any quantitative discipline.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency or strong familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems, with a distinct preference for candidates experienced in using tools such as Kobo Collect, ODK, or SurveyToGo.
  • Relevant Experience: Prior professional or volunteer experience in conducting quantitative or qualitative data collection, fieldwork, or enumeration activities, ideally within a development or humanitarian context.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, necessary for engaging respectfully and effectively with diverse community members and project participants.
  • Commitment to Location: Preference will be given to applicants who are residents in or possess extensive knowledge of the specified Local Government Areas (LGAs) within the required states.
