The Role: Driver (Talent Pool) – Abuja

This recruitment is for a Talent Pool, meaning successful candidates will be readily available for immediate fixed-term contracts (starting with 6 months) as needs arise within the MSF-Spain mission in Abuja.

As an MSF Driver, your commitment to security and logistics efficiency is paramount. You are the critical link ensuring the safety of our staff and the timely delivery of vital goods.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Vehicle Safety: Performing daily technical checks (oil, fuel, tires, brakes, radio) and ensuring the vehicle is always clean and in perfect working condition.
  • Secure Transport: Safely transporting authorized passengers and goods in strict compliance with MSF security protocols and national traffic laws.
  • Logistics & Documentation: Ensuring correct loading/unloading, handling goods documentation, and maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks and movement sheets.
  • Communication: Using radio equipment proficiently and communicating clearly with the base upon departure and arrival, respecting all security and movement protocols.
  • Security Compliance: Knowing and strictly respecting security rules related to movements, customs, checkpoints, and roadblocks, and ensuring all passengers do the same.

 Essential Requirements

To be considered for this Level 03 position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education Secondary education and a Valid Driving License are mandatory.
Experience Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience is essential.
Language Proficiency in English and Hausa (both written and spoken) is required.
Local Knowledge Strong, practical knowledge of local roads and routes within Abuja is necessary.
Desired Assets Experience driving $4\times4$ Landcruiser type vehicles and previous experience with MSF or other INGOs is highly desirable.
