Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the corporate affairs commission (CAC) with No CAC/IT/NO/139393 in accordance with the Nigerian Law in 2019. The organization was established with the sole aim and objective to promote social service through community development projects that ensure meaningful access to services for people in need. The organization also aims to build the Resilience of vulnerable populations, especially women and children to create a safe space for them to feel safe, and free from all forms of harm. We aim to reduce illiteracy through various education programs to ensure children are supported to go to school remain in school and become good citizens.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Grant and Compliance Intern
Location: Borno
Job Summary
- Provide support to the Grants and Partnerships department in managing donor relations, proposal development, reporting, and capacity building of partners.
- The intern will assist in identifying funding opportunities, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines, and tracking project progress.
- Additionally, will support monitoring and evaluation activities, financial management, and documentation related to partnerships.
- Other tasks as assigned by the management may include research, coordination of meetings, and contributing to strategy development for expanding the organization & network of partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Grant Proposal Development
- Assist in drafting, editing, and reviewing grant proposals, ensuring alignment with donor guidelines and objectives.
- Collaborate with program teams to gather relevant data and input for proposal submissions.
- Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain organized records of all grant proposals, contracts, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure that documentation is easily accessible and complies with organizational and donor requirements.
- Partner Communication
- Facilitate communication with partners, including sending updates, coordinating meetings, and addressing inquiries.
- Ensure timely responses to partners regarding project implementation and reporting.
- Capacity Building Support
- Assist in organizing and coordinating training sessions and workshops to strengthen partners’ capacity.
- Provide technical support to partners to help them meet grant requirements and improve performance.
- Financial Report Review
- Support the review and analysis of financial reports submitted by partners to ensure compliance with budgets and grant agreements.
- Assist in tracking grant spending and preparing financial summaries for management.
- Monitor Partner Progress
- Track the progress of partners’ activities in line with project goals and grant timelines.
- Assist in preparing progress reports based on data collected from partners.
- Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure that partners comply with donor regulations, including financial management, reporting, and procurement standards.
- Conduct spot checks and review documentation to verify adherence to grant agreements.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from partner reports and monitoring activities.
- Support the preparation of narrative and financial reports for internal review and donor submission.
- Administrative Support
- Provide day-today administrative assistance, such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing events.
- Assist with logistics for donor visits, partner meetings, and other related activities.
Experience and Technical Competencies
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in the related field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic financial literacy.
- Research skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and efficiently handle multiple tasks.
- PSEA and Safeguarding certificate
- Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team.
- Experience working in a conflict environment is a plus.
