Vacancy – Program Lead at African Centre for Innovation and Leadership Development
The African Centre for Innovation & Leadership Development (ACILD) is a mission-driven organization advancing ethical, inclusive, and systems-oriented leadership to support the scaling up of health and social innovations in Africa and globally. ACILD works at the intersection of public health, leadership, ethics, and implementation science, translating real-world challenges into rigorous, practice-based leadership learning.

Job Title: Program Lead
Location: Nigeria
The Job Opportunity
- ACILD invites applications for a Program Lead, Leadership & Health Innovation, a senior volunteer leadership appointment focused on shaping, piloting, and refining leadership programs related to scaling health innovations in complex systems.
- This role is designed for an experienced professional who brings judgment, systems thinking, and a leadership perspective, and who is interested in contributing at a strategic, program-shaping level rather than through operational delivery.
- This is not an administrative or coordination role. It is a leadership, design, and thought-partnership role.
Role Focus
Working in close collaboration with the ACILD Director, the Program Lead will:
- Contribute to the conceptual and programmatic design of ACILD’s leadership offerings
- Support the piloting of leadership courses, workshops, or cohort-based programs
- Help translate research, case material, and practice experience into high-quality leadership learning modules
- Document lessons learned to inform the future scale-up of ACILD leadership programming
- The emphasis is on program architecture, learning design, and reflective practice, rather than day-to-day operations.
Key Areas of Contribution
- Shape leadership program content focused on:
- Ethical and values-based leadership
- Scaling up health innovations
- Governance, systems, and implementation challenges
- Contribute to the development of a case-based, discussion-driven learning module.
Qualification
- Interested candidates should possess a PhD Degree in any relevant field.
