THE MISSION
One Acre Fund is a non-profit social enterprise that supplies smallholder farmers in East and West Africa with the financing and training they need to grow their way out of hunger and poverty.
In Nigeria, our growth is fueled by data. We are looking for a skilled Data & Automation Analyst to turn complex datasets into actionable insights. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions, optimize our operations, and ultimately increase the impact we have on thousands of smallholder farmers across the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Data Projects
- Project Leadership: Design and lead medium-to-high complexity data projects aimed at solving difficult organizational problems.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with department heads to define project scopes, timelines, and measurable definitions of success.
- Conceptual Reasoning: Break down high-level strategic questions into structured analytical frameworks.
2. Analytics & Reporting
- Dashboard Engineering: Build and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards using platforms like Power BI and Superset.
- Data Quality: Rigorously evaluate and communicate data limitations to ensure leadership makes decisions based on accurate information.
- Storytelling: Translate technical findings into compelling narratives that “tell the story” behind the numbers for non-technical audiences.
3. Automation & Efficiency
- Workflow Optimization: Build automated workflows to eliminate repetitive manual tasks, significantly reducing turnaround time (TAT).
- ETL Processes: Apply knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and data structures to streamline our data pipeline.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS
Technical Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in data analytics.
- Core Tools: High competence in SQL and either Python or R.
- Automation: Hands-on experience with workflow tools such as Zapier, Google Apps Script, or custom Python scripts for data manipulation.
- Visualization: Proven expertise in building interactive dashboards (Power BI preferred).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on constant learning.
- Eligibility: This role is open only to citizens or permanent residents of Nigeria.
