Unit: State Team Structure
Commitment: Full-time or part-time, 3–6 months (renewable)
Conducts field-level data collection, supports baseline and endline surveys, ensures data quality at the state level, and reports monitoring findings to the HQ MEAL Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement data collection activities including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
- Train and supervise community-based data collectors and enumerators.
- Ensure data quality through spot-checks, validation, and verification exercises.
- Enter, clean, and transmit field data to the HQ MEAL Manager in a timely manner.
- Support the documentation of case studies, success stories, and human-interest stories.
- Maintain MEAL equipment (tablets, GPS devices, cameras) and ensure proper use.
- Prepare state-level monitoring reports and contribute to organizational learning.
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, or Social Sciences.
- 1–2 years of experience in data collection, research assistance, or M&E roles.
- Experience with mobile data collection tools (ODK, KoboToolbox) is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data.
- Commitment of 3–6 months minimum.

- Must be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident.
- Minimum age of 18 years.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hausa or local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to travel to field locations within assigned states, including rural and underserved communities.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, internet); advanced digital skills required for technical roles.
- Must possess a valid means of identification (National ID, Voter\’s Card, Driver\’s License, or International Passport).
