Unit: Operations & Support Services Unit
Location: Adamawa (HQ) with travel to operational states
Commitment: Full-time, 6–12 months (renewable)
Assesses security risks, develops safety protocols, monitors threat landscapes, and ensures the safety of staff, volunteers, and assets in all operational locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security risk assessments for offices, field locations, and travel routes.
- Develop and update security plans, standard operating procedures, and contingency plans.
- Monitor local security situations and disseminate security updates to staff and volunteers.
- Coordinate with local security agencies, community leaders, and NGO security forums.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare incident reports with recommendations.
- Train staff on security awareness, personal safety, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain security equipment (radios, trackers, first aid kits) and ensure functionality.
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor\’s degree or HND in Security Studies, Criminology, Military Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in security management, risk analysis, or humanitarian safety.
- Knowledge of the security context in Northeast Nigeria (Adamawa, Gombe, Borno) is essential.
- Certification in humanitarian security (HEAT, UNDSS SSAFE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong situational awareness, judgment, and crisis management skills.
- Commitment of 6–12 months minimum.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (APPLY TO ALL POSITIONS)
- Must be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident.
- Minimum age of 18 years.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hausa or local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to travel to field locations within assigned states, including rural and underserved communities.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, internet); advanced digital skills required for technical roles.
- Must possess a valid means of identification (National ID, Voter\’s Card, Driver\’s License, or International Passport).
