Full Vacancy Details

Commitment: Full-time, 6–12 months (renewable)

Represents OHRI at the state level, manages all state-level programs and personnel, and ensures effective coordination between headquarters and field implementation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership and oversight for OHRI programs and operations in the assigned state.
  • Develop state-level work plans, budgets, and activity schedules aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Supervise state team members including Project Officers, MEAL Officers, and Finance & Admin Officers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with state government ministries, local government authorities, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of state-level reports, data, and documentation to the HQ.
  • Manage state-level security, logistics, and administrative functions.
  • Identify local partnership opportunities and represent OHRI in state-level forums.

Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor\’s degree or higher in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in program management, preferably at the state or LGA level.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the political, social, and security context of the assigned state.
  • Residency in the assigned state is mandatory.
  • Commitment of 6–12 months minimum.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (APPLY TO ALL POSITIONS)

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Strong commitment to OHRI\’s mission, vision, and core values (Resilience, Inclusivity, Stewardship, Integrity, Evidence, Collaboration).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hausa or local languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations within assigned states, including rural and underserved communities.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, internet); advanced digital skills required for technical roles.
  • Must possess a valid means of identification (National ID, Voter\’s Card, Driver\’s License, or International Passport).
