THE PROJECT
WACPHD, in collaboration with NACA, is spearheading the 2026 Integrated Biological and Behavioural Surveillance Survey (IBBSS). This large-scale national project is critical for generating evidence-based interventions for HIV/AIDS control in Nigeria. We are seeking 108 qualified professionals to join this high-impact mission across the following states:
Locations: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Nasarawa, Oyo, Rivers, and Taraba.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1. State Coordinator (11 Openings)
- Role: Lead field operations, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and manage high-level stakeholder relations.
- Requirements: Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience in public health or project management.
2. Laboratorian (72 Openings)
- Role: Execute biological sample collection, testing, storage, and specialized transportation logistics.
- Requirements: Degree in Laboratory Science, valid practicing license, and 3+ years of clinical/field experience.
3. Social Mobilizer (36 Openings)
- Role: Drive community engagement, participant recruitment, and field advocacy.
- Requirements: Minimum SSCE, strong communication skills, and proven experience working with Key Populations (FSW, MSM, PWID).
4. Counsellor (24 Openings)
- Role: Provide essential pre- and post-test counseling, ethical compliance, and clinical referrals.
- Requirements: Specialized HIV counseling training and experience in sensitive health service delivery.
5. Interviewer (Multiple Openings)
- Role: Conduct structured behavioral interviews and digital data collection following strict ethical protocols.
- Requirements: HND/Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in data-driven field research.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES
- Residency: Candidates must reside in the state for which they are applying.
- Core Skills: Proficiency in local languages and a deep understanding of the sociocultural dynamics of Key Populations (KP) are significant advantages.
- Nature of Work: These are contract-based roles requiring high mobility and professional integrity.
