  • If you have used these: Make them the boldest part of your CV.
  • If you haven’t: Highlight your experience with other “Tier 1 ERPs” (like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics). The ICRC needs to know you can handle complex, integrated digital logistics.

2. The “6-Year” Experience Threshold

The ICRC usually strictly adheres to their experience requirements.

  • Use your CV to show a progression of responsibility.
  • Since this is a “Logistician I” (a senior-level local role), emphasize your experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts, not just moving boxes.

3. The Maiduguri/Security Context

Working in Maiduguri for the ICRC involves high-security awareness.

  • Mention your experience with “Security rules and regulations pertinent to Logistics.”
  • Highlight your ability to coordinate logistics in “volatile” or “challenging” environments.

4. ICRC Core Values

The ICRC is neutral and impartial. In your cover letter, avoid political statements. Focus on:

  • Accountability: Ensuring “economic use of resources.”
  • Mastery: Showing you are a “Logistician” by profession, not just by job title.
  • Humanitarian Motivation: Mentioning your drive to support victims of conflict.

5. Document Checklist

  • [ ] Bachelor’s Degree: Must be in a relevant field.
