Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: November 2026

Welcome to My NGO Jobs. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are the rules for using our website at myngojobs.com and our services, including job listings, candidate profiles, job recommendations and recruiter tools. By creating an account, posting a vacancy or otherwise using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Job Posting Policy and Disclaimer.

1. Who Can Use My NGO Jobs

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must give accurate and up-to-date information, and keep it accurate.
  • You may have only one account for yourself, and you must not pretend to be someone else.

2. Accounts

  • Candidate accounts can be used straight away after registration.
  • Recruiter accounts must be approved by our team before they can be used. We may ask for proof that you work for the organisation you name, we link each approved recruiter to one organisation, and we may refuse, suspend or remove a recruiter account at our discretion.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

3. Candidates

  • Your profile must be truthful. Do not claim qualifications, licences, registrations or experience that you do not have.
  • You choose whether approved recruiters can see your profile (the “visible to recruiters” box). You can change your choice at any time.
  • If you give us details of referees, you confirm that they have agreed.
  • We do not charge candidates to create an account, use the job board or apply for jobs. If anyone asks you for money in connection with a job, do not pay, and report it to support@myngojobs.com.

4. Recruiters and Employers

  • You confirm that you are authorised to act for the organisation linked to your account.
  • You must follow our Job Posting Policy, including the rules on using candidate information.
  • You must use candidate information only for genuine recruitment for your organisation, keep it secure, and not copy, scrape, sell or share it.
  • Match scores and recommendations are a guide. You must check qualifications, licences and references yourself, and a person must make every hiring decision.
  • You are responsible for the vacancies you post and for your recruitment decisions. We are not a party to any employment arrangement.

5. Vacancies

We review vacancies before they go live, but we cannot guarantee that any vacancy, organisation or application method is genuine, accurate or still open. We may edit, reject or remove any vacancy at any time. See our Job Posting Policy for what is and is not allowed.

6. Job Recommendations and Match Scores

  • Recommendations and match scores are worked out automatically from information that candidates and recruiters have entered. They are not verified.
  • A high score does not mean a candidate will be shortlisted or hired, and does not confirm that a candidate holds any qualification or licence.
  • We do not guarantee that a recommendation or match is accurate, complete or suitable.

7. No Employment or Agency Relationship

My NGO Jobs is an online platform that connects candidates and organisations. We are not an employer, recruitment agent or employment agency for any candidate or organisation, and we do not guarantee any job, interview, candidate or hire.

8. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Post false, misleading, discriminatory or unlawful content, or break our Job Posting Policy.
  • Ask anyone for money, or for bank or card details, in connection with a vacancy.
  • Copy, scrape, harvest or sell candidate or vacancy information, or use it for marketing or any purpose other than genuine recruitment.
  • Create fake accounts, impersonate a person or organisation, or share your login.
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages, or use the website to spread viruses or harmful code.
  • Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the website or to other people’s accounts.
  • Break any law of Nigeria while using the website.

9. Your Content

You own the information you put on the website. You give us permission to store it, display it and use it as needed to run the service. This includes showing your profile to approved recruiters if you have chosen to be visible, and showing a vacancy you post to visitors. You confirm that you have the right to share what you submit.

10. Our Content and Platform

The website, its design, text, logos and software belong to My NGO Jobs or its licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only to use the service. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission. Vacancy text belongs to the organisation that posted it.

11. Third-Party Websites and Advertisements

The website contains links to other websites, application portals and advertisements, including Google ads. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link or advertisement is not an endorsement.

12. Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Suspending or Ending Access

We may suspend or end your access, remove content, or delete an account if you break these Terms, our policies or the law, or if we reasonably believe it is needed to protect other users. You can stop using the website at any time and can ask us to close your account by emailing support@myngojobs.com.

14. Our Responsibility to You

We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we provide it “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that result from: vacancies, organisations or candidates found through the website; decisions made by recruiters or candidates; scores or recommendations; interruptions to the website; or the content or conduct of third parties. Nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Changes to These Terms or the Website

We may change these Terms or the website from time to time. The date at the top shows when the Terms were last updated. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the new Terms. We may also add, change or remove features, and we will tell registered users about important changes to how we charge for services, if that ever happens, before they apply.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please email support@myngojobs.com first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria will decide the dispute.
