We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Resource Mobilization & Fundraising Assistant
Location: Festac, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area – Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head of Business Development
Duration: Six Months renewable based on performance and funding
Position Summary
- The Resource Mobilization & Fundraising Assistant Lagos will support the implementation of Devatop’s business development and partnership strategy in Lagos.
- The role involves assisting in donor mapping, proposal coordination, partnership outreach, and facilitating engagement with prospective board of supporters and private sector stakeholders.
- The Assistant will work closely with the Head of Business Development to ensure strategic positioning and visibility for Devatop’s work in the Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and profiling potential donors, supporters, and corporate partners within Lagos.
- Support in organizing donor and board of supporter engagement activities, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Participate in drafting and customizing introductory emails, proposals, concept notes, and presentation materials as needed.
- Maintain communication with existing and prospective partners in Lagos, under the guidance of the business development (BD) Unit.
- Coordinate logistics for business development-related events and meetings in Lagos.
- Provide timely updates, field reports, and documentation of BD-related activities to the Abuja BD unit.
- Help monitor trends and opportunities relevant to Devatop’s themes (TIP, GBV, youth empowerment, civic-tech).
- Work closely with the communications team to amplify Devatop’s visibility to Lagos-based donors and stakeholders.
- Maintain a contact database and engagement tracker of all business development activities in Lagos.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of Business Development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Business, Social Sciences, Communications, or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in fundraising, partnerships, or nonprofit programming.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good writing and presentation skills, especially for proposals and donor communication.
- Familiarity with Lagos business and nonprofit networks is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Salary
N150,000 – N180,000 monthly depending on experience.
