Main Objective of the Position
The primary objective is to provide obstetrical care to pregnant women and their babies, including follow-up before, during, and after delivery, in accordance with MSF protocols, to ensure their health and prevent post-delivery complications.
Key Accountabilities
The Midwife will be responsible for:

Implementing and ensuring continuity of antenatal and postnatal care, family planning, obstetrical care (BEMONC and CEMONC), neonatal and comprehensive abortion care, and management of victims of sexual violence and reproductive tract infections.

Ensuring hygiene and sterilization criteria (including universal precautions) are met.

Conducting normal deliveries independently and managing obstetric emergencies according to MSF protocols, identifying cases needing timely referral.

Properly following up all newborn babies from delivery until discharge and informing mothers about breastfeeding, vaccination, and potential complications.

Ensuring patients’ right to privacy and confidentiality is respected.

Managing supplies by guaranteeing a regular and ongoing supply of drugs and equipment required for maternity activities.

Collaborating with the medical doctor and/or nurse in the management of sexual violence (SV) cases.

Offering survivors of SV/IPV medication according to MSF protocols and respecting survivor-centered principles.
Requirements
Education:
-
Essential: Midwifery qualification or specialization

Desired: Bachelor in Midwifery
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Midwife
Languages:
-
Mission language essential

Local language highly desirable
Knowledge & Skills:

Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel)

Competencies: Flexibility, commitment to MSF principles, teamwork, and result-oriented approach
