Job Title: Medical Officer
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Imo

Job Description
- We are seeking a compassionate, skilled paediatrician to join our founding clinical team in Abuja and help transform the future of paediatric healthcare.
- The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary and emergency care to pediatric patients, supporting clinical operations, and working closely with nursing and research teams to ensure quality and compassionate care.
- This role is vital in helping us build a solid medical foundation during the early stages of the hospital’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients, particularly those with sickle cell disease or cancer
- Respond to and manage pediatric emergencies
- Supervise and coordinate with nurses, lab technicians, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and referrals
- Support training and mentorship of junior clinical staff
- Participate in health outreach and education activities
- Collaborate with the research team on patient-based studies and documentation
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
- 2+ years of post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics
- Experience with sickle cell disease or pediatric hematology is an advantage
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a startup environment and serve underserved communities.
