Job Summary
The Physician will provide expert clinical care, diagnosis, and treatment to patients within AHF-supported wellness clinics. The role also involves supporting clinical research, improving treatment protocols, and ensuring high standards of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Medical Duties
- Provide comprehensive medical care and treatment to patients
- Ensure access to appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret results effectively
- Maintain high-quality standards in clinical service delivery
- Participate in clinical reviews, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives
- Implement AHF clinical strategies, SOPs, and treatment protocols
- Support operational research and evidence-based healthcare practices
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including EMR updates
Leadership & Supervision
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to healthcare teams
- Mentor and train clinical staff to improve service delivery
- Support staff participation in continuous professional development (CPD)
- Oversee daily clinical operations and team coordination
General Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day clinic activities and outreach teams
- Participate in team meetings and performance reviews
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HIV-related clinical care
- At least 5 years of management or supervisory experience
- Experience in operational research and evidence-based practice is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems

- High level of professionalism and ethical conduct
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Commitment to patient confidentiality (especially HIV/STI cases)
- Problem-solving mindset and innovative thinking
