Job Summary
- The Integration & Engineering Personnel will be responsible for backend development, core product improvement, and systems integration to support the Decent Work Initiative (DWI) for Young Nigerians. This role will focus on building scalable, high-performance systems, ensuring seamless API integrations, and enhancing core product functionality. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including system implementation, web development, and business operations, to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using C#/.NET Core, PHP, and Laravel.
- Implement RESTful APIs, OAuth, and SOAP for seamless system integration.
- Enhance core product functionalities, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Develop and optimize plugins for CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, and Umbraco.
- Utilize test-driven development (TDD) methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless UI/UX experiences.
- Implement best practices for code optimization, security, and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain high coding standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and integration methodologies to enhance development efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in backend development with expertise in C#/.NET Core, PHP, Laravel, and API development.
- Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, including REST, OAuth, and SOAP.
- Experience in test-driven development (TDD) for software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with plugin creation and customization for WordPress, Drupal, or Umbraco.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex system integrations.
- Experience working in multifunctional teams to ensure strategic alignment and delivery excellence.
- Knowledge of security best practices in API development and system integration.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
