We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Programs / Operation – Protection Project

Locations: Madagali – Adamawa and Gwoza – Borno
Employment Type: Full-Time (Project-Based)
Job Field: Program Management / Operations
Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical guidance for project implementation across both target LGAs.
  • Supervise program and operations teams to ensure efficiency, accountability, and compliance with AGUF and donor standards.
  • Ensure that all project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
  • Strengthen partnerships and collaboration with government authorities, community stakeholders, and other humanitarian actors.
  • Oversee logistics, procurement, and financial operations in collaboration with the Finance and Procurement units.
  • Ensure effective monitoring, reporting, and documentation of all project activities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continual learning among project staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline .
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in program or operations management with an NGO or humanitarian organization.
  • Proven experience managing multi-sectoral teams and donor-funded projects.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Fluency in English and Hausa (knowledge of local languages in the target communities is an advantage).
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites and work in remote areas.
