Godiya Cherished Care for Humanitarian Response Initiative (GCCHRI) is a non-profit and a non-governmental organization founded in 2022 by a group of young researchers. Our core mission is to elevate community health standards through a multifaceted approach encompassing research, advocacy, health promotion and education, community development, capacity building, program evaluation, impact assessments, needs analysis, baseline/midline/endline surveys, systems strengthening, and targeted service delivery. Our focus extends particularly to the vulnerable and marginalized populations in Nigeria and beyond.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Intern

Location: Borno

Job Summary

  • The Finance Intern will provide administrative support to the finance team, assisting with financial management, budgeting, and accounting tasks.
  • The intern will work closely with the finance team to ensure efficient and effective financial operations, and gain valuable experience in NGO financial management.

Key Responsivities

  • Assist with financial data entry and record-keeping
  • Help with budget tracking and financial reporting
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Participate in financial analysis and planning
  • Assist with financial documentation and compliance
  • Support audit preparations and financial reviews
  • Ensure adherence with GCCHRI policies
  • Ensure proper filling of document
  • Take day to day responsibility of managing petty cash and cash box
  • Preparation of payment vouchers for cash and cheques and ensure timely settlement of all undisputed invoices.
  • Facilitate and assist finance Officer to perform cash and bank reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • ND / Diploma or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Academic Qualification:

  • Diploma or recently completed a degree in Accounting ,Finance, Business Administration and Economics
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in NGO
