TCDI is one of the frontline National Non-governmental organizationswith over a decade of experience in providing humanitarian and development services in Nigeria. It has partnered with numerous government agencies, National and International NGOs as well as UN Agencies in the design, planning, implementation, and supervision of programmes and activities aimed at improving the lives of rural and urban communities.
The organization has footprints across the focal states and has been engaging with communities through its network of field workers and volunteers. TCDI was established in 2008 and registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.), Abuja on 23rd May 2014 with registration number IT/69569 and other regulatory bodies in the focal states.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Sokoto (TCDI Office)
Reports To: Finance Officer
Purpose
- Support all financial operations by processing transactions, maintaining records, and generating reports in compliance with TCDI and donor standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, and other payments.
- Maintain ledgers, financial files, and documentation systems.
- Assist in monthly bank reconciliation and petty cash management.
- Support preparation of monthly financial reports and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
- Assist during internal/external audit processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years accounting or finance support experience.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems.
- High attention to accuracy and detail.
- Discretion with confidential financial information.
