Introduction
The Driver / Admin Assistant (DAA) is a vital role at MSI Nigeria, ensuring safe and reliable transportation of personnel while supporting administrative operations. By maintaining vehicles, documenting travel data, and assisting with logistical and administrative tasks, this position contributes directly to the smooth and efficient functioning of programmes and staff mobility.
Job Summary
The Driver / Admin Assistant will provide safe transportation for staff, maintain vehicle standards, and support basic administrative functions. The role ensures vehicles are in good working order, trips are well-documented, and field activities run efficiently, aligning with MSI’s operational and programme objectives.

The DAA role ensures personnel can access project sites efficiently, vehicles are well-maintained, and administrative support tasks are completed accurately, helping MSI Nigeria maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Vehicle Management
- Drive assigned personnel safely at all times, following traffic regulations.
- Ensure vehicles are always in good working condition and report damages promptly.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and fuel through the Logistics & Fleet Management Sub-Unit.
- Maintain keys and vehicle documents securely.
- Keep daily vehicle logs: distance covered, fuel usage, departure/arrival times.
- Operate vehicles according to MSI Global Fleet Policy.
Administrative Support
- Assist with administrative duties as assigned by the Regional Manager or Administrative Officer.
- Record service delivery data using CLIC and other computer-based applications.
- Collect, reconcile, and record cash during outreach or field activities.
- Collect weekly travel itineraries and return vehicles immediately after use.
Compliance & Communication
- Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow standard operating procedures for safety and operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
- 4–7 years of driving experience, preferably in INGO or development sectors.
- Experience driving operational vehicles such as Toyota Hilux is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Nigerian road regulations, terrain, and road networks in the region.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and local languages.
