Introduction
Programme Officers play a critical role in translating humanitarian and development strategies into real-world impact. At MSI Reproductive Choices, this role supports the delivery of life-changing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services that empower individuals to make informed choices about their lives. The Programme Officer will contribute to strengthening programme coordination, accountability, and performance, ensuring projects deliver measurable outcomes aligned with donor and organisational goals.
Job Summary
The Programme Officer will provide day-to-day technical and operational support for the implementation of assigned programmes within MSI Nigeria’s portfolio. The role focuses on activity tracking, coordination with internal teams and partners, routine reporting, and ensuring programmes are implemented in line with approved workplans, budgets, and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Implementation & Coordination
- Track implementation of SRH programme activities across supported states, facilities, and outreach locations.
- Support routine programme operations, including documentation and activity coordination.
- Work with programme managers to ensure activities align with approved workplans, budgets, and logframes.
Reporting, Data & Documentation
- Support routine data tracking and basic analysis of programme performance.
- Assist in preparing donor reports, internal programme reports, and success stories.
- Maintain organised programme documentation in line with donor and organisational standards.
Financial & Operational Support
- Assist with activity budgeting, concept note development, and expenditure tracking.
- Support procurement processes, logistics planning, and coordination of field activities.
Compliance, Risk & Safeguarding
- Support identification and mitigation of programme risks.
- Ensure safeguarding, compliance, and donor requirements are integrated into programme activities.
Partnership & Stakeholder Support
- Support collaboration with country programmes, support office teams, and external partners.
- Contribute to maintaining positive working relationships that support MSIN’s 2030 strategic goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in programme or project implementation within SRH, public health, or INGO settings.
- Proven experience working on donor-funded projects.

- Strong understanding of sexual and reproductive health programming in Nigeria.
- Experience with donor compliance, coordination, and reporting.
- Good analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
