Job Summary

The Compliance Manager serves as the primary guardian of operational integrity for the REACH Malaria project. You will lead the design and monitoring of internal control systems, ensuring that project activities across seven states align with both international donor standards and local statutory requirements. Your goal is to foster a culture of accountability that mitigates risk while maximizing the efficiency of our humanitarian interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Audit and Operational Oversight

  • Execute systematic financial and operational audits across all regional project hubs to verify adherence to internal protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on fiscal proposals and budgetary allocations to ensure they align with strategic project goals.
  • Supervise departmental work schedules and monitor KPIs to ensure administrative excellence and timely delivery of project objectives.

Risk Management and Control

  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of internal control frameworks and proactively identify emerging operational risks.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans and process improvements to enhance transparency and resource management.
  • Bridge the gap between public sector regulatory standards and the specific compliance nuances of donor-funded programming.

Regulatory Liaison and Reporting

  • Act as the authoritative point of contact for compliance matters involving Nigerian government regulations and donor (USG) requirements.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools to produce insightful daily, weekly, and monthly reports for executive leadership.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based presentations to large stakeholder groups regarding the project’s compliance health.

  • Professional Tenacity: At least 7 years of specialized experience as a Financial/Operational Auditor within a large-scale private firm, a public sector body, or a major USG-funded initiative.

  • Analytical Rigor: A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot patterns or discrepancies within large datasets.

Why This Job Matters

This position is not just about “checking boxes”; it is about protecting the resources that save lives. In the REACH project, compliance is the backbone of the “Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases” platform. Without robust oversight, project implementation slows down, and vulnerable populations lose access to critical health services. Your expertise ensures the project remains solvent, reputable, and ready to scale.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Salary: Competitive (Commensurate with experience and consistent with international NGO benchmarks in Nigeria).
  • Impact: The opportunity to work at the forefront of global health innovation.
