Job Summary
The Office Janitor plays a vital role in the daily operations of NICA by maintaining a spotless and orderly work environment. You will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all office areas, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of hygiene for our staff and eminent visitors. The ideal candidate is someone who takes great pride in their work, is detail-oriented, and understands the importance of a clean professional atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of private offices, meeting rooms, hallways, restrooms, and kitchen areas.
- Floor Maintenance: Execute daily sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming; polish floors as needed to maintain a high-quality finish.
- Waste Management: Regularly empty trash bins and ensure all office waste is disposed of safely and according to hygiene protocols.
- Surface Care: Clean and dust windows, glass partitions, office furniture, and electronic equipment surfaces.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock essential restroom and kitchen supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toiletries.
- Equipment Oversight: Ensure all cleaning tools and chemicals are used safely, maintained properly, and stored securely.
- Facility Monitoring: Proactively identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, or potential safety hazards to management.
- General Assistance: Help with the basic physical setup of office spaces, such as moving or arranging furniture for events or meetings.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a professional office cleaning or janitorial role is highly preferred.
- Professionalism: Ability to work discreetly in an executive environment and follow strict health and safety standards.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to perform active physical tasks throughout the day with stamina and attention to detail.
- Availability: The successful candidate must be ready and available to resume duties immediately.

- Preferred Locations: To ensure punctuality, we are strictly looking for applicants residing in or near: Lekki, Ajah, Badore, Ado Road, Ogombo Town, Victoria Island, Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, or Lagos Island.
