As a Warehouse Security Officer, you are the first line of defense in protecting the critical resources that provide food, shelter, and medical care to thousands. Job Summary
The Warehouse Security Officer is responsible for the physical protection of CFCI’s facilities, inventory, and personnel. Your primary goal is to maintain a secure environment through strict access control, diligent patrolling, and proactive risk management. By preventing loss and ensuring safety, you ensure that our humanitarian aid reaches its intended destination without interference or compromise.
Core Responsibilities
- Access Control & Monitoring: Regulate and record the movement of all personnel, vehicles, and visitors entering and exiting the warehouse premises to prevent unauthorized access.
- Asset Protection: Safeguard high-value humanitarian stock, technical equipment, and organizational assets against theft, vandalism, or misappropriation.
- Surveillance & Patrolling: Conduct thorough and regular foot patrols of the warehouse interior and perimeter to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Incident Reporting: Maintain accurate security logs and provide prompt, detailed reports on any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety incidents to the Executive Director.
- Emergency Response: Enforce strict fire safety protocols and lead emergency evacuation procedures in the event of fire, medical emergencies, or security threats.
- Integrity Enforcement: Ensure that all staff and visitors adhere to organizational security policies and code of conduct while on the premises.
Candidate Profile: Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Minimum of a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE).
- Professional Experience: Previous experience serving as a security officer, guard, or within a related safety field is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: Uncompromising integrity, high level of vigilance, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Physical Readiness: Must be physically fit and capable of maintaining alertness during both day and night shifts in a demanding environment.
- Security Knowledge: Basic understanding of modern security procedures, gate management, and emergency response techniques.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of local languages spoken in Maiduguri or Dikwa is an added advantage.
