Job Summary
The Warehouse Keeper / Cleaner is a vital support role responsible for the physical upkeep and organizational flow of our storage facilities. You will ensure that our warehouse is spotless, orderly, and compliant with hygiene standards, while providing essential manual support during the receipt and dispatch of goods. Your hard work ensures that our relief items remain safe, uncontaminated, and ready for immediate distribution.
Core Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning of warehouse floors, storage shelves, offices, and external premises to maintain a professional and hygienic environment.
- Logistics Support: Assist in the careful offloading of incoming supplies and the orderly stacking of goods according to the Warehouse Manager’s instructions.
- Contamination Control: Implement high hygiene standards and pest-control support to prevent any damage or contamination to sensitive humanitarian materials.
- Dispatch Assistance: Provide physical support during the loading of vehicles for field distribution, ensuring goods are handled with care and efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all warehouse safety protocols and consistently use provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
- Organization: Assist in the logical arrangement of stock to ensure easy access and clear walkways within the facility.
Candidate Profile: Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Minimum of a Primary or Secondary School leaving certificate (FSLC/SSCE).
- Practical Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, storekeeping, or professional janitorial role is highly valued.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically resilient and capable of lifting and moving moderate loads comfortably throughout the day.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for cleanliness and the ability to notice when items are out of place or if a storage area needs attention.
- Professional Attributes: We are seeking individuals who are exceptionally honest, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Location Readiness: Ability and willingness to work in a field-based humanitarian context in Dikwa, Borno State.
