Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant / Storekeeper provides essential frontline support in the management of our storage facilities. You will be responsible for the physical handling of goods, the meticulous updating of inventory records, and the maintenance of a highly organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Logistics Support: Assist in the professional receiving and inspection of all incoming goods, ensuring that quality and quantity match our procurement standards.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain real-time accuracy of stock cards, bin cards, and inventory registers to provide a transparent trail for every item in our care.
  • Document Management: Prepare and process fundamental warehouse documentation, including Good Received Notes (GRNs), waybills, and stock issue vouchers.
  • Stock Verification: Play an active role in routine physical stock counts and reconciliation exercises to prevent discrepancies and losses.
  • Facility Excellence: Ensure the warehouse maintains a logical layout for efficient access and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety at all times.
  • Safe Handling: Execute the proper stacking and storage of humanitarian supplies to prevent damage or expiration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Foundation: Minimum of an SSCE (Secondary School Certificate) or a National Diploma (OND). Specialized training in logistics or warehouse management is a distinct advantage.
  • Relevant Experience: 1 to 2 years of practical experience in a warehouse or storekeeping environment, ideally within a fast-paced setting.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional honesty, strong record-keeping skills, and an uncompromising eye for detail.
  • Technical Basics: Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred to assist with digital record-keeping.
  • Physical & Mental Resilience: Ability to perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting and the stamina to work effectively within a field-based humanitarian context.
  • Values Alignment: A strong commitment to humanitarian ethics, including a clean record of integrity and a dedication to safeguarding policies.
