Job Summary
The Warehouse Data Officer is responsible for the systematic management, analysis, and reporting of all inventory data within our Dikwa operations. Your mission is to ensure that our digital records are a perfect reflection of our physical stock, maintaining the high levels of transparency required by our donors and the communities we serve.
Core Responsibilities
- Information Management: Oversee the end-to-end data entry process, ensuring all incoming and outgoing inventory is captured in real-time with 100% accuracy.
- Analytical Reporting: Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports that provide clear insights into stock levels, consumption rates, and replenishment needs.
- Data Integrity & Validation: Conduct frequent quality checks and data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical assets and electronic databases.
- Audit Support: Actively participate in physical stock counts and reconciliation exercises, providing the data-driven evidence needed for internal and external audits.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and update inventory databases, ensuring all electronic files are organized, secure, and easily accessible for program planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse floor staff and project managers to streamline the flow of information from the warehouse floor to the final report.
Candidate Profile: Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related analytical field.
- Professional Experience: 2 to 3 years of dedicated experience in data management, business analysis, or inventory control, preferably within an NGO setting.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization) and experience with specialized inventory management software.
- Attention to Detail: An uncompromising commitment to accuracy and the ability to spot minute inconsistencies in large datasets.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data and present findings in a clear, actionable format for non-technical stakeholders.
- General Requirements: Full professional fluency in English is required. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to thrive in field-based humanitarian contexts and a deep commitment to ethical safeguarding standards.
