Job Summary

The Senior Warehouse Officer-in-Charge is a pivotal field leadership role responsible for the tactical execution and oversight of our storage facilities in Dikwa. By maintaining rigorous inventory standards and leading a frontline logistics team, you will ensure that our multi-sectoral aid programs—from nutrition to emergency shelter—remain fully operational and compliant with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct all daily activities within the warehouse facility, ensuring a clean, organized, and high-functioning environment for the receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the lifecycle of all stock, implementing regular physical audits and cycle counts to ensure 100% reconciliation between digital records and physical assets.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Generate comprehensive data-driven reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to provide leadership with visibility into stock levels and movement trends.
  • Compliance & SOP Enforcement: Ensure every transaction follows CFCI’s Standard Operating Procedures and meets the stringent transparency requirements of our international donors.
  • Personnel Supervision: Act as a mentor and supervisor to warehouse officers, storekeepers, and assistants, fostering a culture of high performance, integrity, and safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the condition of stored items, particularly perishable or sensitive humanitarian supplies, to prevent loss or damage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Academic Background: Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven Experience: 3 to 5 years of steady career progression in warehouse management or logistics operations, preferably within a non-profit or emergency context.
  • Leadership Prowess: Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and solve complex logistical challenges in high-pressure environments.
  • Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized digital warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, a high degree of personal integrity, and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • General Requirements: Full fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of the local languages spoken in Borno State is a significant advantage. Candidates must be fully committed to humanitarian principles and safeguarding policies.
