Job Summary

The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical assistance and system maintenance to ensure seamless daily operations across our sites. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting, system configurations, and network optimization. Key Responsibilities

Technical Assistance & User Support

  • Act as the primary responder for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical inquiries, providing efficient solutions for hardware and software challenges.
  • Manage the end-to-end setup and deployment of workstations, printing solutions, and essential peripheral devices.
  • Deliver expert support for core business applications, operating systems, and enterprise email platforms.

Infrastructure & Network Maintenance

  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN), including Wi-Fi and secure VPN connections.
  • Execute scheduled system updates, rigorous data backups, and proactive preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect organizational data from external threats.

Asset Management & Documentation

  • Oversee the lifecycle of IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and maintained.
  • Develop and update technical documentation and user guides to streamline future troubleshooting processes.
  • Manage the internal ticketing system to track, prioritize, and resolve support requests in a timely manner.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Windows Operating Systems, foundational networking principles, and hardware diagnostics.
  • Tools & Systems: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and modern antivirus management.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and customer service abilities, with a patient and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Working Style: The ability to work effectively as an independent contributor or as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team.
