Impacting Lives Through Advocacy and Empowerment
In a world where barriers often prevent individuals with disabilities from reaching their full potential, the right resources can be life-changing. This role is more than just a writing position; it is a critical pillar in our mission to dismantle systemic inequality and provide direct support to those who need it most. By securing the necessary funding, you will directly enable programs that foster independence, dignity, and inclusivity for people with disabilities across our communities.
Job Summary
The Grant Writer serves as a strategic storyteller and financial catalyst for the TAAE Foundation, tasked with identifying and securing the resources required to fuel our humanitarian initiatives. You will bridge the gap between our mission and global funding partners by crafting persuasive, data-driven proposals that articulate the urgent need for disability inclusion and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Research: Identify and evaluate potential funding opportunities from international donors, corporate foundations, and government agencies that align with our core mission.
- Proposal Development: Draft, refine, and submit high-impact grant applications, ensuring every narrative is compelling, evidence-based, and tailored to specific donor requirements.
- Grant Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end administration of grants, including monitoring compliance, meeting reporting deadlines, and tracking the impact of funded projects.
- Donor Stewardship: Act as a primary liaison with funding organizations, building and maintaining professional relationships to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Fundraising Coordination: Collaborate with the leadership team to synchronize grant-seeking efforts with broader organizational fundraising campaigns and events.
- Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate records of submission statuses, success rates, and post-award outcomes to inform future development strategies.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
- Academic Background: A University Degree in Communications, International Development, Nonprofit Management, English, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Proven ability to navigate the complexities of grant administration and prospect research within the humanitarian sector.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex social issues into relatable and fundable narratives.
- Project Management: A disciplined approach to managing multiple high-priority deadlines while working autonomously in a remote environment.
- Sector Knowledge: A deep understanding of the non-profit landscape and a genuine passion for disability rights and social inclusion.
Why This Role Matters
The Grant Writer is the engine of our foundation’s growth. Without successful grant acquisition, our ability to provide care, advocacy, and resources to the disability community is limited. Your work ensures that our vision of a compassionate, accessible world moves from a concept to a tangible reality for thousands of individuals.
Benefits & Compensation
- Impactful Work: The opportunity to be a part of a transformative movement for social justice and disability rights.
- Flexibility: A fully remote work structure that respects your work-life balance while allowing you to contribute to a national mission.
- Professional Growth: Engagement with diverse international donors and stakeholders in the development sector.
- Salary: Competitive and reflective of experience within the NGO sector.
