SoCha LLC, an international Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) firm, is currently building a national roster of qualified professionals in Nigeria to support potential Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) assignments.
The organization works globally to provide evidence-based insights that help humanitarian and development partners make informed, adaptive, and impactful decisions, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected environments.
This recruitment exercise aims to identify experienced professionals for potential short-term engagements in the following roles:
- Enumerators
- Field Monitors
- Field Supervisors
- State Coordinators
- Data Quality Specialists
Selected candidates may be deployed across Northern Nigeria, particularly in the Northeast, Northwest, and Northcentral regions. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with previous experience working in humanitarian contexts such as Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, and other high-need operational areas.

Possible Areas of Engagement
Depending on assignment scope, selected personnel may support activities such as:
- Conducting field monitoring visits to verify humanitarian project implementation
- Collecting quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, KIIs, FGDs, and direct observations
- Verifying project outputs, beneficiary targeting, and service delivery outcomes
- Using digital data collection platforms including KoboToolbox, ODK, and SurveyCTO
- Capturing GPS coordinates, geotagged photos, and time-stamped evidence
- Supporting remote monitoring activities in inaccessible or high-risk areas
- Preparing clear, accurate, and timely field reports
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, data protection, PSEA, and Do No Harm principles
- Supporting assignments across sectors such as Food Security, Nutrition, Health, WASH, Protection, Shelter, and Livelihoods
Minimum Requirements
Interested candidates should possess:
- Previous experience in humanitarian monitoring, assessments, evaluations, or field data collection
- Familiarity with conflict-affected or hard-to-reach locations in Nigeria
- Strong understanding of local communities, LGAs, and state-level structures
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa and/or Kanuri is highly desirable
- Experience in sectors such as WASH, Health, Nutrition, Protection, or Food Security
- Ability to use mobile data collection tools, GPS tagging, and digital reporting systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Access to an Android smartphone and basic field equipment such as power banks and internet access
- Commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding standards, and professional ethics
