These consultants will work within the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) in Abuja, contributing to improved coordination, surveillance, accountability, and data-driven decision-making across high-priority states under the Polio Technical Assistance Program.
The initiative focuses on interrupting circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2) transmission in the following states:
- Borno State
- Kaduna State
- Kano State
- Katsina State
- Kebbi State
- Sokoto State
- Bauchi State
- Zamfara State
Open Positions
1. National Program Management and Accountability Consultant
The consultant will support strategic program coordination, tracking, and accountability systems within the NEOC. This role is ideal for a strong program management professional with consulting experience and the ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in management consulting or program management
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to drive accountability and performance improvement systems
- Experience working in public health or development programs is an advantage
2. National Data and Surveillance Expert
The consultant will strengthen surveillance systems and improve the use of data for operational decision-making. Responsibilities include improving data quality, developing dashboards, and analyzing multiple campaign datasets for actionable insights.

Engagement Details
- Consultancy engagement (full-time)
- Availability required: 15 working days per month
- Initial contract duration: 6 months
- Renewable based on performance and program needs
- Duty station: Abuja, with periodic travel to priority states
