Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) is a national humanitarian and development organization with over 10 years of development interventions and humanitarian response in Nigeria. We have partnered with several INGOs and NGOs in implementing people’s centered project.
We envisage rural communities in Nigeria that are environmentally conscious, where poverty is eradicated, and social rights upheld. We work with the poor and socially excluded people, and government for the promotion of environment and human rights protection in communities that are in Nigeria, aimed at poverty reduction through education, information sharing, research, training and direct impact intervention.

Job Purpose:
The FSL Field Assistant will support the implementation of field-level food security and livelihoods interventions, including beneficiary identification, distribution of inputs, training facilitation, monitoring of activities, and community engagement. The position plays a key role in ensuring the quality and accountability of FSL initiatives such as cash-based assistance, smallscale agriculture, and income-generating activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in community sensitization and beneficiary selection activities using inclusive and transparent approaches.
- Assist in the implementation of activities such as cash/voucher distributions, seed/input delivery, and business grants.
- Support field training sessions on improved farming techniques, business development, and life skills.
- Monitor supported beneficiaries and provide field-level support, feedback, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate records and complete distribution documentation including beneficiary lists and reports.
- Work with community leaders, cooperatives, and market actors to ensure smooth implementation.
- Assist in post-distribution monitoring, focus group discussions, and beneficiary feedback collection.
- Report protection issues, beneficiary complaints, or emerging challenges to the FSL Officer immediately.
- Ensure gender sensitivity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability across all activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture, Rural Development, Economics, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in FSL or community development programming, especially in humanitarian settings.
- Basic understanding of cash transfer programming, livelihoods restoration, and food security principles.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to speak local languages and work effectively with rural communities.
