Job Title: Nutrition Project Coordinator
Location: Nganzai/Maiduguri

Job Purpose:
The Nutrition Project Coordinator provides strategic leadership, technical oversight, and management of all nutrition programming under the BHA-funded project in collaboration with Save the Children. This position ensures the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of high-quality nutrition interventions, including CMAM, IYCF, BCC, and community-level nutrition systems strengthening. The coordinator will ensure alignment with national protocols and donor expectations while supporting team capacity and fostering cross-sector integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition activities including CMAM, IYCF-E, and community nutrition interventions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to nutrition officers, field assistants, and community mobilizers.
- Develop project work plans, monitoring plans, and procurement plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Oversee capacity building for local health workers, community health volunteers, and nutrition staff.
- Ensure strong coordination with partners, LGA health authorities, and nutrition cluster members.
- Monitor program implementation through regular field visits, ensuring quality control and adherence to protocols.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and final reports for submission to management and donors, including documentation of success stories and lessons learned.
- Support integration of nutrition into WASH, Health, and FSL components.
- Ensure effective referral systems for malnourished children and PLWs.
- Supervise the collection and analysis of program data for decision-making and adaptive programming.
- Ensure compliance with donor, national, and organizational regulations, especially around safeguarding and data protection.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing nutrition programs in humanitarian or development settings.
- Deep understanding of CMAM, IYCF-E, and public health nutrition principles.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders including government, partners, and clusters.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and capacity-building skills.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with BHA and Save the Children’s program standards is an added advantage
