Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • We are looking for a reliable Quantity Surveyor to join our capable team of professionals
  • The quantity surveyor will lead the design, review, planning and execution of PHC construction and refurbishment projects.
  • The role combines technical oversight with strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising support.

What You`ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end healthcare construction and renovation projects
  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
  • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
  • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
  • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
  • Support procurement and oversee facility handover.
  • Maintain financial records, monitor cash flows, and report to donors.
  • Support recruitment of institutional and individual adopters.
  • Prepare project briefs and represent PSHAN in donor meetings.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
  • Regular Facility management.

What You`ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar fields with 5 years work experience.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
