Job Summary
The M&E Assistant will support site-level data reporting and monitoring activities, ensuring accurate data collection, entry, and reporting in line with program requirements. The role contributes to strengthening data systems and promoting evidence-based decision-making across supported facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation Support
- Implement M&E activities at the facility and community levels
- Support the development and strengthening of M&E systems
- Ensure proper use of M&E tools across sites and outposts
Data Management & Reporting
- Manage and update site-level databases and reporting systems
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to the country office
- Perform daily data entry into OpenMRS and other reporting platforms
- Maintain data quality, consistency, and completeness
Data Quality & Supervision
- Mentor facility staff and community-based organizations (CBOs) on data entry and reporting standards
- Ensure compliance with approved data flow processes and timelines
- Supervise site-level data reporting cycles to maintain high-quality outputs
Program Monitoring
- Track program performance through data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Support the use of data for program improvement and decision-making
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Medical Demography, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year post-NYSC experience in Monitoring & Evaluation
- Experience in data entry and database management
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with SPSS, STATA, or similar tools
- Experience with OpenMRS, DHIS, or NigeriaMRS is an added advantage
