Job Title: Case Management Supervisor
Job Purpose
The Case Management Supervisor will supervise and manage a team of Case Workers, ensuring adherence to case management principles and delivery of quality protection services to beneficiaries. The role involves coaching and mentoring Case Workers, supporting complex case management processes, and ensuring compliance with established SOPs and protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and coach Case Workers throughout the case management process.
- Conduct weekly case conferences and provide technical guidance on difficult and complex cases.
- Ensure timely follow-up and quality management of open cases and action plans.
- Monitor adherence to protection principles, internal SOPs, and confidentiality standards.
- Conduct regular case audits and quality assurance reviews of case files.
- Support staff wellbeing and maintain a positive team working environment.
- Assign and distribute cases fairly according to complexity and staff capacity.
- Monitor workloads to ensure quality case management standards are maintained.
- Coordinate referrals and maintain effective relationships with service providers.
- Conduct awareness-raising sessions and contribute to service mapping updates.
- Identify protection trends and prepare monthly reports for the protection team.
- Participate in external meetings, trainings, and coordination activities as required.
- Handle complex and high-risk cases directly when necessary.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or relevant field is an added advantage.
- Specialized training in case management and protection of women and girls is highly desirable.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years relevant professional experience in protection programming or case management.
- At least 2 years experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Experience supporting vulnerable populations and managing complex cases.
- Humanitarian experience is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of inter-agency case management guidelines and minimum standards.
- Experience conducting case conferences, audits, and quality assurance processes.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of referral pathways and coordination mechanisms.
- Proficiency in case management systems and report writing.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet usage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive situations professionally.
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Hausa and Kanuri languages will be an added advantage.
