Requirements and Qualifications
The following are suggested requirements based on the nature of the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Human Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, or another relevant health-related field.
- Relevant experience implementing nutrition programmes, particularly in humanitarian or emergency settings.
- Knowledge of community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), infant and young child feeding (IYCF), and community nutrition interventions.
- Experience coordinating nutrition activities, supervising field teams, and supporting community-based nutrition services.
- Understanding of nutrition screening, referral systems, and the management of malnutrition among children under five.
- Ability to monitor programme implementation, review data, and prepare accurate reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with government health authorities, health facilities, community leaders, and humanitarian partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging field environments.
Experience implementing nutrition programmes for internally displaced persons and other vulnerable populations would be an advantage.
