Requirements and Qualifications
The following are suggested requirements based on the nature of the position:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and a valid practising licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Relevant experience in nursing care, patient referrals, and healthcare service delivery.
- Knowledge of referral systems, patient assessment, and continuity of care.
- Experience supporting maternal, newborn, and child health services would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control, patient safety, and medical ethics.
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records and referral documentation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to coordinate with healthcare facilities, community health workers, and other service providers.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and respectful care.
- Ability to work effectively in a humanitarian or emergency setting.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, internally displaced persons, and conflict-affected communities would be an advantage.
