​Main Purpose

​Defining, coordinating, and monitoring all care and nursing-related activities in the Lassa Fever project. This includes managing human resources according to MSF nursing protocols to ensure quality and continuity of care.

​Key Responsibilities

  • Activity Planning: Organize IPD, OPD, maternity, and nutrition activities; manage duty rosters and budgets.
  • Clinical Supervision: Implement therapeutic protocols (SGBV, MH, VCT, etc.) and ensure sterilization/therapeutic rules are followed.
  • Pharmacy & Resource Management: Supervise medical supply distribution, monitor expiration dates, and coordinate with the biomedical service for medical device maintenance.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff; conduct Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE) training.
  • Infection Control: Enforce strict infection prevention and control (IPC) measures specific to Lassa fever in collaboration with the WASH team.
  • Reporting: Collect patient data and prepare monthly activity reports for the line manager.

​Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Essential). Specialization in Tropical Medicine is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of working experience in nursing activities. Experience with MSF or other NGOs is desirable.
  • Languages: English (Mission Language) is essential; local languages are desirable.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet use.
