1. PROJECT BACKGROUND
Launched in April 2025, the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) project addresses the global funding gap for women’s rights organizations (WROs). Recognizing that groups working in conflict-affected states and at the intersection of discrimination receive minimal support, this project prioritizes WROs, marginalized groups, and Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs).
As part of our commitment to capacity strengthening, ActionAid Nigeria is developing a digital learning suite to be hosted on Feministhub.org. We are seeking a creative and technically proficient consultant to transform technical training materials into accessible, engaging e-learning formats.
2. OBJECTIVE
The objective of this consultancy is to engage an instructional design expert to convert raw training materials into 15 structured e-learning course modules that are platform-ready, interactive, and optimized for self-paced learning.
3. SCOPE OF WORK
The selected consultant will be responsible for:
- Analysis: Reviewing and auditing existing raw training materials.
- Content Conversion: Developing structured e-learning modules from existing manuals.
- Multi-Format Development: Creating a rich mix of text-based, slide-based, visual, and audio content.
- Interactivity: Designing interactive elements, scenarios, and case-study-based content to enhance engagement.
- CMS Formatting: Formatting all final content for seamless upload to WordPress-based CMS platforms.
- Standardization: Ensuring clarity, consistency, and a high-quality learner experience across all modules.
4. KEY DELIVERABLES
- 15 E-Learning Course Modules: Complete and ready for deployment.
- CMS-Ready Content: Formatted specifically for WordPress upload.
- Multimedia Assets: Supporting materials including slide decks, scripts, and audio/visual files.
- Final Standardized Report: Documenting the finalized content structure and methodology.
5. QUALIFICATIONS & SELECTION CRITERIA
- Expertise: Proven experience in Instructional Design or E-learning development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress) and digital learning authoring tools.
- Portfolio: Demonstrated ability to convert complex training materials into engaging digital formats (evidence required).
- Sector Knowledge: Experience working with development organizations or gender-focused projects is a significant advantage.
6. ADMINISTRATIVE & PAYMENT TERMS
- Work Arrangement: Remote (Home-based) using personal tools, with physical meetings in Abuja as required.
- Ownership: All outputs and related databases/platforms belong exclusively to ActionAid Nigeria.
- Compliance: Strict adherence to ActionAid’s Safeguarding and SHEA (Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse) policies.
- Taxation: Statutory WHT (5% for individuals / 10% for LTD/PLC) will be deducted at the source.
