About the Organization

Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD Foundation) is a Nigerian youth-led nonprofit organization established in 2019 and headquartered in Maiduguri, Borno State. It works across the humanitarian and development sectors to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable populations through community-driven solutions. 

FRAD focuses particularly on women, children, adolescents, youth and persons with disabilities, implementing programmes in WASH, health and nutrition, protection, education, livelihoods, women’s empowerment, peacebuilding and early recovery. Its approach is aligned with the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus and the Sustainable Development Goals. 

Geographic Reach

FRAD is headquartered in Maiduguri, Borno State, and has a strong operational presence in Northeast Nigeria. Its programmes have also extended into parts of Northwest Nigeria, including activities in Zamfara State, while its broader organizational strategy covers humanitarian and development needs across Nigeria. 
