We are recruiting:

Position: Cleaner
Location: Sokoto State, Nigeria
Contract Type: Definite Contract (5 Months)

Main Purpose of the Role

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a hygienic and tidy environment, ensuring MSF’s staff and public areas are kept in good condition according to MSF’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, and clean floors regularly.

  • Restock essential supplies (soap, tissue, toilet paper, etc.).

  • Ensure water availability in key areas (kitchen, showers, offices).

  • Clean windows, office furniture, printers, and meeting rooms.

  • Carry out monthly deep cleaning (dusting doors, windows, dispensers, freezers, etc.).

  • Track and report water bottle consumption.

  • Clean fridges, freezers, and water coolers as per schedule.

  • Set up chairs and supplies for meetings and exams.

  • Follow the cleaning schedule provided by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of Secondary School Certificate.

  • Experience:

    • Essential: Prior cleaning experience.

    • Desirable: Experience with MSF or another NGO.

  • Languages: English and local languages (Hausa and Fulani) are essential.

  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cleaning products desirable.

  • Competencies: Results and quality orientation, teamwork, flexibility, commitment to MSF principles, and stress management.
