Talent Lab – Talent Pipeline Recruitment

Talent Lab is inviting applications from experienced and results-driven professionals to join its growing talent pipeline as a Research & Data Specialist/Consultant. This opportunity is open to qualified candidates based in Abuja and Lagos, with a competitive monthly net salary ranging from ₦400,000 – ₦700,000.

Job Summary

The Research & Data Specialist/Consultant will lead research, data analytics, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities across projects. The successful candidate will support evidence-based programming through data-driven insights, high-quality research, and performance monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement research studies, including needs assessments, baseline, midline, and endline evaluations.
  • Develop and manage data collection systems and analytical frameworks.
  • Analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights for program improvement.
  • Develop and implement MEL frameworks aligned with donor requirements and program objectives.
  • Support data-driven planning, implementation, and reporting across interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with program teams to improve performance and impact measurement.
  • Ensure quality assurance, data integrity, and compliance with reporting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Data Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4–8+ years of progressive experience in research, data analytics, or MEL.
  • Experience within development, consulting, or public sector environments.
  • Advanced qualifications such as MSc, MPH, MPP, or PhD are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with donor-funded programs is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of sectors such as global health, education, nutrition, or social protection is desirable.

₦400,000 – ₦700,000 Net Monthly
