Location: Awka, Anambra
Employment Type: Full Time

Main Purpose

  • Execute, according to hygienic standards, housekeeping, Cleaning, and tiding up activities in order to ensure public and staff private areas are in good condition.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dust and clean all furniture, desks, chairs, outside in the Tukul and outdoor meeting areas penthouse especially (Meeting rooms and Tukul first thing every morning)
  • Remove cobwebs in every corner. Office/apartment
  •  Empty Waste bin and remove trash to the designated area morning and afternoon before close of work.
  •  Dust high reach areas including workways windows and ceiling.
  •  Dust/wash and clean window.
  •  Restock dispenser water when is empty around the office /apartment.
  •  Dust and clean all the office/apartment light bulbs biweekly.
  •  Dust and polish the frames on the walls around in the rooms/offices.
  •  Clean and disinfect all sinks, faucets, and urinals around the office /apartment environment daily.
  • Clean tabletops, couches, and chairs
  •  Sweep, dust, and mop the floors.

Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: OND is desirable
  • Experience: A minimum of one year experience as a Cleaner, MSF or other INGO experience as a cook is desirable.
  • Languages: Local language is essential, English is desirable.

Accountabilities:

  • Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and other rooms in MSF houses.Do the laundry iron clothes and other housekeeping activities.
  • Support the cook (washing up, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).
  • Sweep and mop the floors.
  • Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as required.
  • Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and refill drinking water.
  • Check that the toilets are well stocked with paper, soap and condoms.
  • Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water cuts.
  • Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).
