About the Organization

Christian Aid is an international development and humanitarian organization founded in 1945 by British and Irish churches to support people affected by poverty, conflict and displacement following the Second World War.

The organization works with local communities, churches, civil society organizations and development partners to tackle the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice. Its programmes combine humanitarian assistance, long-term development, advocacy and policy engagement.

Christian Aid has been working in Nigeria since 2003. Its work focuses on climate adaptation and resilience, governance and rights, health and human development, and locally led humanitarian response in conflict-affected communities. Christian Aid +2
