Requirements and Qualifications
The following are suggested requirements based on the nature of the position:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Nutrition and Dietetics, Human Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, or another relevant health-related field.
- Relevant experience implementing nutrition programmes at community or local government level.
- Knowledge of community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), infant and young child feeding (IYCF), and nutrition screening and referral.
- Understanding of malnutrition prevention and treatment, particularly among children under five and pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- Experience supporting community mobilization, nutrition education, and health promotion activities.
- Ability to collect, analyse, and report nutrition programme data accurately.
- Knowledge of nutrition monitoring tools and reporting procedures.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to coordinate with health facilities, community health workers, government officials, and humanitarian partners.
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging humanitarian settings.
Experience working with internally displaced persons, vulnerable households, and emergency nutrition programmes would be an advantage.
